🌿 Choices, Free Will, and the Walk with God
Life is full of choices. Some we make freely. Others are shaped by outside influences or even by people behind the scenes pulling strings. But if God has another plan for us, their choices don’t stand. Ultimately, the most important decision we face is this:
Will we choose to do good or to do evil?
I’ve never been ashamed to admit the kind of person I am. Some of my choices haven’t been pretty. I’m not perfect—I’m human. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve sinned. And sometimes, the choices I made were influenced by others who didn’t have my best interest at heart. That’s life. But I’ve learned that even when we make the wrong choice, God’s grace is still available.
🔁 The Cycle of Repetition
Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in a loop—making the same mistake over and over again. I’ve been there. It can feel like insanity. But breaking that cycle starts with a question:
What kind of person are you?
Do you want to see others succeed, or do you want to see them struggle? I choose to root for others. I hope that by lifting others up, that favor might be returned. But I’ve also learned not to count my eggs before they hatch.
✝️ Forgiveness and Accountability
As long as you’re walking with God and doing your best to choose what’s right, that’s all you can do. And if you fall short, ask for forgiveness. Jesus already paid the price. If you repent in His name, you will be forgiven.
I still make mistakes. I still sin. But I take accountability for my wrongs. I won’t carry the cross of others—I carry my own. I’m not a victim of circumstance. I’m not a victim at all. I’ve received my validation from God, and I know not everyone is my friend. Not everyone likes me. But I do have one thing:
Unconditional love.
Sometimes that love feels like a burden. I’ve forgiven people who probably didn’t deserve it. I’ve given love to those who didn’t return it. But if God commands it, I obey.
🌅 The Hope of Better Days
I hope you’ll choose good over evil. I hope you’ll lean into the free will God gave you and make choices that honor Him. And if you’ve made the wrong ones, it’s never too late to turn around. Never give up. You’re worth it. God loves you unconditionally.
It’s never too late to stop making the wrong choice—and start making the right one.
God bless you.
