Sometimes in life, when we’re grinding, chasing, trying to make something happen, we hit a speed bump. It feels like it’s slowing us down, maybe even pushing us back. But think about real speed bumps—they’re not there to punish you. They’re there so you don’t hurt yourself or somebody else by moving too fast.

Life works the same way. That delay, that frustration, that thing that just won’t move no matter how hard you push—maybe that’s God saying, “Slow down. Look again. This way might not be for you.”

And those roadblocks? Sometimes they’re not there to stop your progress forever. They’re there to stop that route. You don’t quit. You reevaluate. You find another way, another path, maybe even another dream that actually fits who you are now.

You are valued. You are worth it. You can do anything you set your mind to—but that doesn’t mean every single thing is meant for you. If you’ve been forcing something for a long time and it just will not come together, maybe it’s time to ask, “Is this really mine? Or is God gently steering me somewhere better?”

God is unconditional love. Build that relationship. Use discernment. Listen.

Never give up on life—just be willing to change the route. Written by.Kristofer Krumholtz
