There are seasons in life where it feels like the hits are coming from every single direction.
You look around, and you’re taking fire on all sides—slander, rumors, doubting whispers, and people who seem dedicated to misunderstanding or tearing you down. Words have weight, and when people throw dirt on your name or try to convince you that you’re worthless, it’s easy to feel the sting.
But there is a massive difference between hearing the noise and believing it.
Rejecting the Script They Wrote for You
When people try to tell you who you are, they’re usually projecting their own toxicity.
They tell you, “You can’t do it.”
They try to make you feel like you’re nothing—like you’re disposable or broken.
They want to label you so they can control how you see yourself.
Here is the truth: Other people do not hold the pen to your identity.
I know who I am. I know my heart, my intentions, and the work I put in every single day. I’m not what they say I am. I am a good person, I have value, and no amount of gossip or slander can strip away the foundation I’ve built.
When the world says, “No, you can’t,” the only real answer is, “Watch me.”
Standing on All Ten: Boundaries Are Not Up for Debate
For a long time, people mistake kindness for weakness. They think because you have a good heart, you’re an easy target—a pushover who will just take the hits, stay quiet, and let them walk all over you.
Not anymore.
Having boundaries doesn’t make you bitter; it makes you solid. It means:
Drawing a line in the sand. You don’t get free access to disrespect me just because I’m patient.
Standing ten toes down. When the pressure comes, I don’t fold. I stand firm on my values, my space, and my self-respect.
Refusing to accept the poison. What other people say about you behind your back says everything about their character and nothing about yours.
The Takeaway
If you’re walking through the storm right now and feel surrounded by negativity, remember this:
You are not what they call you. You are not the lies they spread. You are worth every bit of the space you take up in this world, and you don’t owe anyone an apology for standing your ground.
Keep your head up, lock your boundaries in place, and remember your worth.Written By Kristofer Krumholtz:

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.
— Isaiah 54:17
